Hi, I’m Sabine
I’m the founder of Be In Balance, an integrated mind-body coaching practice dedicated to whole-person health and wellbeing—from the inside out.
I focus on the mental and emotional aspects of health and wellbeing and how mindset impacts our overall health and our relationship with food, body and life.
My approach helps individuals identify and transform the underlying beliefs and thought patterns that create stress and limitation, addressing both conscious and subconscious blocks to wellbeing.
Through our work together, I help clients restore inner balance and reconnect with their intuition and authenticity, empowering them to channel their energy and potential into creating meaningful, lasting changes in their personal and professional lives.

My Story
I know firsthand how much energy and joy can disappear from our lives when our wellbeing is compromised or when we follow a path that isn’t aligned with our inner truth.
Throughout my childhood, I suffered from stomach cramps, food-related problems, and skin conditions that no one could help me with at the time.
As a teenager, my self-esteem and confidence dropped. I developed a negative body image and a toxic relationship with food. I was trapped in a dieting mindset and filled with critical thoughts about my body and myself.
Still, a part of me always knew there must be a better way, and I was determined to find it.
The Beginning of My Career Journey
After school, I studied nutritional sciences because I always wanted to help others feel their best – and me, too. The concept of prevention over treatment for our overall health and wellbeing resonated with me a lot.
When I graduated, though, I realised that knowledge about food and the physiological and biochemical workings of the body did not provide ALL the answers I was looking for. Something important was missing.
After working for a few years in health communication, it became clear that I was not on a fulfilling career path.
When my frustration grew, I reached a low point with no clue how to change directions in my personal or professional life. I decided to take a sabbatical for self-discovery and travel – a decision that changed my whole life.
A Shift That Changed Everything: A New Way of Seeing Life
New Zealand was my first destination since I’d always wanted to see a rainforest. Walking in solitude and silence in the most breathtaking nature shifted my perception of life as I knew it through a series of “magical moments.”
My mind became still, and all the usual mental chatter stopped. In this stillness, significant insights appeared “out of nowhere” in my head.
I began to see how much of my thinking had been shaped by inherited concepts, beliefs, and invisible frameworks that quietly defined my reality. It was as if I had been moving within unseen boundaries—ones I hadn’t questioned until now.
I experienced a state of deep bliss and had never felt so alive. A vast space of boundless freedom opened within me, and I saw my life with entirely new eyes, filled with new possibilities.

Embracing Motherhood, Inner Healing, and Relocating Abroad
In 2000, I became a mum to a beautiful baby boy and was over the moon. Happy, fulfilling years followed, during which I fully enjoyed motherhood and the touching first years with a little one.
At the same time, I began a personal healing journey—releasing emotional stress and past trauma, practising mindfulness, and learning about the mind-body connection. Discovering the nervous system’s role in healing was a turning point.
As I started caring for myself from the inside out, I felt more empowered each day—and my inner voice grew clearer and stronger.
In 2005, after another visit to New Zealand, I felt a renewed pull to return to the sense of freedom and connection I had first experienced there. After many preparations, everything fell into place, and we moved from Germany to New Zealand.
Expanding My Skills to Help Others
After settling in, I used the powerful energy of new beginnings to expand my nutrition expertise. I knew I wanted to help others break free, too.
I embraced a more holistic approach to health and wellness—one that honours the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit, and works with the mind-body connection and the subtle energies that influence our health and wellbeing.
I became certified in massage therapy, kinesiology and the energy-based holistic coaching system innerwise®.
Later, I became certified as an Eating Psychology (Mind-Body Eating) Health coach and completed additional training in stress management and transformative coaching strategies.
To complete my professional toolkit, I also became certified in hypnotherapy and Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®).
Embracing Balance and Living with Joy
Today, those old struggles with food, body image, and negative thoughts no longer define me. Through my life’s journey, I’ve learned to love and accept myself more—knowing that each experience has shaped who I am today.
Even when I slip into unhelpful thoughts or patterns, I carry an inner certainty that I’ll soon return to calm, clarity, and joy – and I do.
